Thanks to the generous donations from
The Goziker Family, Oracle, and the City of Redmond
we are able to perform Suitcase for you FREE of cost. Reserve a spot for you and your family below!
Suitcase is an immersive performance that tells the story of the first arrivals of the Kindertransport in Britain during WWII. The performance will take you on a journey around the "station" with 7 short vignettes. You will encounter various characters, including children who arrived on the Kindertransport, an organizer for the Refugee Children's Movement, foster parents, and a railway worker. The show will take place at the Redmond Central Connector Park, and you will be led by a guide to each scene.
The Redmond Central Connector Park used to be part of the Burlington Northern Railroad corridor. The city of Redmond acquired the land in 2010 and transformed it into a trail and park as part of a regional effort to develop a comprehensive trail system. The park still features some elements from its railroad past, such as art made from railroad tracks and signals.
